This policy combines Employers and Public Liabilities. Employers Liability is covering employers for any sum which they may be liable to pay to any employee injured or diseased during working hours. This type of insurance is compulsory by law. Public Liability is covering the liability of the insured at law to members of the public for injuries suffered or property damaged.

Employers Liability

This is compulsory liability insurance if your business has anything from 1 employee.  Employers have many legal duties and obligations towards their employee’s whilst they are at work, the most important of these relates to their health and safety.

Employer’s liability can provide an indemnity in respect of your liability for all damages and costs for bodily injury, death, illness or nervous shock sustained by your employees arising out of their employment with you. A standard limit of indemnity of £10,000,000 for any one event inclusive of all damages and costs is available.  Higher limits of indemnity are available upon request.

Public Liability

Public Liability insurance provides indemnity for your company in respect of legal liability for accidental bodily injury or damage to property of a third party such as a member of the public.  It would indemnify you against damages that have to be paid out.  Claims can arise as a result of negligence either on your premises or whilst you are working away from your premises.

Products Liability

Products liability insurance provides indemnity for your legal liability arising from products sold or supplied or work or services, which you have undertaken in the course of your business.  There are various levels of indemnity during any one period of insurance; however, the standard limits for both Public and Products liability usually start at £1,000,000.  Higher limits are available upon request.
